There is so much in the news right now regarding rental rules and regulations with the government stepping in to make changes. Here are a few articles you may have missed:
'Barrier to good health' -Letting fees stop tenants moving out of damp properties, MPs told
The Social Services Select Committee is considering the Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill, which would stop landlords from charging tenants for the cost of letting properties. Read this article to find out more on why letting fees are considered a ‘barrier to good health’. (PS: We have never charged letting fees!)
No more gouging renters as letting fees to go: Housing Minister Phil Twyford
Under proposed changes to NZ Landlord rules, tenants will no longer have to pay hefty letting fees when renting a new home.
